Getting Closer

I am off to Mozambique! The other day I got my health pack through which confirmed it! Yay! I will be somewhere around Beira so near the beautiful sandy beaches and crystal blue sea (are you jealous yet?)
The health pack told me what injections I will need and also a bit of info about malaria tablets. I have booked an appointment for the nurse on Mon 17th July. I think I will need about seven overall! A scary amount, including rabies (according to Katie extremely painful) and Hep B. I also need to sort out malaria tablets. I think that I will probably have to have Larium. For Uganda I took Malarone, but that is not guaranteed for stays of more than a few weeks. Although Larium can have some pretty nasty side effects, it is less likely to affect my birthmark that Doxycycline which is the other option.
There is so much to think about. I alos need to get my bag and probably should think about buying other things I will need, but it still seems so far away. One of my best mates Katie is off to Vietnam at the end of August so she is getting all her stuff together which is exciting enough for now.
So I have three months left in the country, time for two holidays, getting my A-Level results, and major packing and shopping. A quarter of a year actually sounds like a long time, but I am sure that it is going to go a lot quicker than it should!
