Big Needles
I got back from a holiday on the Isle of Wight on Friday to find a worrying email from Oasis, saying that I still owed them £450! This was especially worrying as the money had been taken out of my account. In a slightly panicked manner I emailed Lisa Harrison (GAT manager type), with all the information I could find about the missing payment. I got an email back yesterday saying that the cheque had been recieved but had gone straight through finance so Lisa didn't have a record of it, yayness and a big sigh of relief. So I have now fully paid for my placement, no going back now, not that I would want to.
I had my first injections yesterday, a Hepatitis A booster and a Hepititis B booster. However because I had my actual Hep B injections two years ago I need to have a blood test in 8 weeks to check that I actually am immunised. Since it will be the middle of September in 8 weeks time, I will have to have an ultra accelerated course of another three injections if it doesnt do it's job! I have to go back next week to start my course of Rabies and have an MMR ( they now recommend 2), the following week for another Rabies and an ACWY(? I think it's a meningitis thing) and finally two weeks later for my last Rabies. At some point in the near future I also need to find out my blood type. All in all a lot of big needles!
